Club Car Wash has expanded its footprint with the acquisition of 13 Glide Xpress Car Wash locations spread across three markets in Tennessee and Arkansas. According to reporting from Professional Carwashing & Detailing, the deal closed in October 2026, with Amplify Capital Group serving as sell-side advisor to the Glide Xpress ownership group.
The acquired sites serve customers in Memphis, Tennessee, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Northwest Arkansas. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Deal details and continuity
Glide Xpress operated express wash locations across Tennessee and Arkansas before the sale. Amplify, an M&A and capital advisory firm that focuses on the car wash industry, said it engaged qualified buyers and guided both parties through what it described as a complex transition.
Chris Jenks, CEO and partner of Amplify Capital Group, said the Glide Xpress ownership group had built a business with a meaningful presence across several attractive markets. He said the firm focused on understanding the seller's objectives and managing the process to close.
Maintaining continuity for customers and employees was an important factor for the ownership group as it weighed the transition. The sellers indicated they viewed Club Car Wash's operating approach as a complementary fit for the acquired locations.
Remaining locations
Glide Xpress is not exiting the business entirely. The company will continue to own and operate its locations in Springfield, Missouri, maintaining the services and customer experience it has offered there. The sale therefore narrows the operator's geographic reach while keeping its Missouri presence intact.
For Amplify, the engagement adds to its track record advising multi-site car wash operators through sale transactions.
Why it matters for operators
The sale is another example of consolidation reshaping regional express wash markets. A 13-site transfer across three metro areas gives Club Car Wash immediate scale in Memphis, Little Rock, and Northwest Arkansas without the time and cost of greenfield construction, a pattern that continues to define growth among the larger chains.
For independent and multi-site operators watching the market, the deal underscores a few practical points. First, buyers remain active and willing to take on clusters of sites in secondary markets, not just major metros. Second, the Glide Xpress decision to sell most of its network while retaining its Springfield locations shows that partial exits are a viable path for owners who want to reduce exposure in some markets while staying in the business elsewhere.
The emphasis both sides placed on employee and customer continuity is also worth noting. Operators considering a sale often find that a buyer whose operating model aligns with their own makes the transition smoother for staff and preserves the customer base that drives membership revenue. Choosing a strategic advisor with car wash experience can help owners clarify their objectives, identify qualified buyers, and manage the many moving parts of a multi-site deal.
Finally, with terms undisclosed, operators cannot read a specific valuation into this transaction, but the steady flow of such deals signals that well-run express wash portfolios in growing regional markets continue to attract acquirers.
