Club Car Wash has opened a rebuilt location at 813 N Union Blvd. in Colorado Springs, Colorado, redeveloping the site of a former Carlos Car Wash. According to reporting from Professional Carwashing & Detailing, the operator tied the debut to a series of promotions and local charitable giving.
To mark the opening, the company is running a giveaway in which the first 250 guests receive scratch-off tickets for a chance to win free washes, with a grand prize of a $1,000 Visa gift card. The first 200 customers also receive coffee cards for Switchback Coffee Roasters, sponsored by Club Car Wash.
Charity tie-ins and membership offers
During the celebration, visitors can buy $1 MVP Washes, described as a $26 value, with all wash profits donated to United Way Pikes Peak to support local residents in need. Cory Via, chief operations officer at Club Car Wash, said the team is committed to serving the community and thanked new members for helping make a difference.
The chain is also offering new members 50% off any membership for a limited time, available online or in store. Club Car Wash has partnered with United Way on several activations and has a longstanding relationship with Children's Miracle Network. Every Tuesday, customers can buy the company's MVP Wash for $14, with $1 from each sale donated to a local Children's Miracle Network hospital.
Wash tiers and rewards
The location offers four membership and single wash options. Each includes complimentary vacuums, microfiber towels and air compressor tools, along with a complimentary rubber mat cleaning service. Members can access perks through the Club Car Wash mobile app and its Platinum Rewards program, earning points through various engagements to unlock discounts. Enrolled members currently receive $5 off their membership after earning 250 points.
Why it matters for operators
The Colorado Springs project shows how acquiring and rebuilding an existing wash can serve as an entry point into a market rather than building on raw land. Redeveloping the former Carlos Car Wash site gave Club Car Wash an established location with existing traffic patterns, a strategy worth weighing against ground-up construction costs and timelines.
The grand opening playbook is also instructive. Rather than relying on a single discount, Club Car Wash stacked several tactics: a scratch-off giveaway to drive foot traffic, a deeply discounted introductory wash tied to a local charity, a half-off membership offer to convert single visitors into recurring revenue, and a sponsored local coffee partnership to build goodwill. Bundling a charitable component into promotions can soften the perception of steep discounting while generating community coverage.
The recurring giving structure matters too. Weekly Children's Miracle Network donations and repeated United Way activations give the brand a consistent community presence beyond one-off openings. For independent operators, the takeaway is that launch promotions and ongoing loyalty mechanics, including app-based rewards that lower monthly charges, work together to acquire members and keep them enrolled after the introductory pricing ends.
