Club Car Wash has opened a new location in Wentzville, Missouri, at 970 Great Oaks Blvd., using the grand opening to raise money for a local nonprofit. According to reporting from Professional Carwashing & Detailing, the chain is offering its MVP Wash for $1, normally valued at $26, for a limited time and donating all wash profits to The Child Advocacy Center of Northeast MO, which supports victims of child abuse.
Company president Collin Bartels tied the opening to community impact, saying customers make a difference simply by washing at the new site. "We hope our new members understand the impact they're making when they wash," Bartels said.
Giveaways and membership offers
The grand opening includes a series of promotions aimed at drawing early traffic. The first 250 visitors receive scratch-off tickets for a chance to win free washes and a grand prize bundle of vacation-themed gift cards worth $3,500. The first 200 visitors also get sponsored coffee cards for 7 Brew.
Alongside the one-day incentives, Club Car Wash is running a 50% off membership promotion available both online and at the Wentzville location for a limited time. New members can test any of the chain's membership tiers, which include unlimited washes, complimentary amenities and additional perks. The company also promotes its mobile app, which houses a Platinum Rewards program and monthly giveaways that members access by creating an account after purchasing a membership.
A growing national footprint
Club Car Wash now operates more than 265 locations across the United States and offers four single wash and membership options. The company recently added a Graphene Protection feature to its MVP package. Its stores include complimentary vacuums, microfiber towels, air compressors and rubber mat washing services in addition to wash technology.
Why it matters for operators
The Wentzville launch is a template for how large chains convert a single site opening into both community goodwill and membership acquisition. Pairing a deeply discounted signature wash with a charitable donation gives the promotion a purpose beyond price, which can soften the perception of a loss-leader offer and generate local press coverage that paid advertising cannot easily buy.
The structure of the incentives is worth studying. Limiting scratch-off tickets and coffee cards to the first few hundred visitors creates urgency and rewards early arrivals without an open-ended cost. The 50% off membership promotion is the real revenue engine, since the goal of a grand opening for a subscription-based wash is not the one-day wash count but the number of new recurring memberships captured during the window.
Smaller operators can adapt the same playbook at a lower scale by tying a discounted wash to a local cause, capping giveaways to control expense, and using the event to push members into an app or rewards program that improves retention. The charity angle also matters for reputation: aligning with a well-regarded local nonprofit connects the wash to the community it serves and gives customers a reason to choose it beyond convenience and price.
