Mark VII Equipment has appointed two new directors of direct sales as it works to grow its presence across North America. Kaleb Lingg will oversee direct sales in the eastern states, while Cameron McDonnell takes on the same role for the western region, according to reporting from Car Wash Business Center.

The company, the North American subsidiary of WashTec AG, framed the hires as part of a broader push toward new growth, stronger customer relationships and wider sales coverage. Pierre Leclercq, senior vice president of sales at Mark VII, said both appointments align with the company's culture and growth plans.

Who the new directors are

Lingg comes to the role with a background in business leadership, team development and relationship building. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, and now based in Tampa, Florida, he holds bachelor's and master's degrees in business management and is a former college athlete. Leclercq described Lingg's people-first approach as an outstanding fit for the sales team. Lingg said he is excited to build relationships and contribute to the company's success.

McDonnell brings experience in operations, business development and sales leadership. He most recently worked in the automotive equipment industry as director of operations and business development for a paint booth equipment sales and service company, where he launched and developed new territories in Dallas, Tampa and Denver. Earlier in his career he served as director of business development, sales, distribution and marketing for North America at Sealcon, overseeing outside sales representatives and a network of 83 distributors. His background also includes work in HVAC and construction management.

Leclercq pointed to McDonnell's record of growing territories and developing teams as an asset for the company's expansion in the western region.

Company context

Mark VII operates as the North American arm of WashTec AG, which the company describes as a global leader in vehicle wash solutions. WashTec reports more than 50,000 car wash systems installed worldwide and operations in over 80 countries, with more than three million vehicles washed daily using its technology. The two new sales directors join a string of recent personnel moves at Mark VII, including the earlier appointment of Matt Bristow as director of chemical sales for its Car Wash Alliance brand.

Why it matters for operators

Sales leadership changes at a major equipment supplier may seem like inside baseball, but they affect the operators who buy and service that equipment. Direct sales directors set the tone for how a manufacturer prices, quotes and supports installations in a given territory. New regional leaders often signal a supplier's intent to expand its footprint, which can mean more attentive service, faster response on new projects, and a bigger local sales presence for operators in the eastern and western states.

For operators evaluating equipment purchases or expansions, it is worth knowing who now owns the relationship in your region. A supplier investing in regional sales structure suggests a longer-term commitment to that market, which matters when you are counting on parts, service and support over the multi-year life of a wash system. Operators considering Mark VII or WashTec equipment should identify their new regional contact and gauge how the added leadership translates into service response and account attention on the ground.
