MOJO Family of Brands, the parent company of Coastal Car Wash, is extending its Coastal brand across the Tampa Bay region by rebranding three existing car wash locations. The converted sites sit in Bradenton, Ruskin, and Port Charlotte and now operate under the Coastal Car Wash name.

The move deepens MOJO's footprint in Florida and consolidates several previously independent operations under a single banner, according to reporting from Auto Laundry News. Brian Emerson, vice president of operations for the Southeast at MOJO Family of Brands, said the company is "excited to bring the Coastal Car Wash brand to even more customers."

The converted locations

The three rebranded sites were each operating under different names before the conversion. The Bradenton location at 6415 FL-64 was formerly Jax Kar Wash. The Ruskin site at 1430 N. U.S. Hwy 41 previously ran as In & Out Express Carwash. The Port Charlotte location at 2105 S. Tamiami Trail was known as Speedy Clean Car Wash.

All three now carry the Coastal Car Wash identity, which MOJO says delivers a consistent service experience focused on convenience and a welcoming visit. The company framed the rebranding as a continuation of its broader growth strategy across Florida markets, strengthening Coastal's presence in Tampa Bay and surrounding communities.

A regional consolidation play

Rather than building new sites from the ground up, MOJO is folding established washes into its brand portfolio. Rebranding existing operations allows an operator to enter or expand within a market quickly, capturing established traffic and real estate while applying a unified name, service standard, and marketing approach across the group.

The three sites carry the same Coastal branding and operating model, which suggests MOJO is prioritizing consistency across its Southeast holdings. For customers in the region, the changeover means former Jax Kar Wash, In & Out Express, and Speedy Clean patrons will now visit under the Coastal name.

Why it matters for operators

This expansion illustrates a growth pattern that continues to reshape competitive dynamics in busy Florida corridors: multi-site groups acquiring and rebranding independent washes rather than developing greenfield sites. For independents in Tampa Bay and similar markets, it is a reminder that consolidation is active and that nearby competitors may quietly change hands and gain the marketing muscle of a larger brand.

Operators watching for acquisition activity should note the practical mechanics at work. Converting three differently named sites to one brand requires coordinated signage, membership migration, staff training, and local marketing to retain existing customers through the transition. How smoothly a chain handles that handoff often determines whether it keeps the traffic it just bought.

For those considering their own exit or expansion, MOJO's approach signals steady buyer appetite for established express sites with existing customer bases. Independents may find that a well-run, membership-heavy wash in a strong Florida market remains an attractive target, while smaller operators face growing pressure to differentiate on service and loyalty as branded chains expand their reach.
