Tidal Wave Auto Spa has opened an express carwash in Bonita Springs, Florida, its first location in that city and its 32nd across the state. According to reporting from Professional Carwashing & Detailing, the new site sits at 24461 S Tamiami Trail and adds to a national footprint the company describes as the fifth-largest conveyor carwash operation in the country.

The opening is part of a continued Florida push. Tidal Wave said it now runs 332 express wash locations nationwide, with 32 in Florida, and has additional state openings planned this year in Merritt Island and Wimauma.

Grand opening promotions

To introduce the brand locally, the Bonita Springs site is running 12 days of free premium washes from Sept. 16 to 27. The giveaway covers the company's top wash option, Graph-X4 plus Super Shammy, at no charge to customers.

Tidal Wave is also extending its Founders Club membership offer through the same window. On the three highest wash plans, new members pay $10 for their first month and then receive $10 off each month for the following 12 months. Single wash options at the site start at $15, with unlimited memberships, family plans and fleet plans also available.

The launch includes a charity component. On Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the company hosted a Giveback Day donating $1 for every free wash and $5 for every new Clean Club membership to the Bonita Springs Assistance Office, a nonprofit that provides emergency financial relief and social services to local residents, with a focus on families with young children and seniors facing crises such as layoffs, housing loss and illness. Tidal Wave said it has donated more than $8 million to charitable organizations nationwide.

CEO and founder Scott Blackstock said the company was proud to open the Giveback Day partnership with the local assistance office, calling it a way to greet a new community.

Why it matters for operators

Tidal Wave's Bonita Springs debut follows a familiar playbook for large chains entering a new market: a multi-day free wash window, an aggressive discounted membership offer, and a tie-in to a local charity all launched at once. The combination is designed to build recurring revenue quickly by converting free-wash traffic into subscribers while generating goodwill.

For independent operators sharing a trade area with a national brand, the Founders Club structure is worth studying. A first month at $10 followed by 12 months of $10 off locks customers into a year-long relationship at a steep introductory price. That pricing can pressure nearby washes on membership value, and it raises the bar on what a grand opening looks like locally.

The charity angle also carries a practical lesson. Pairing the opening with a named local nonprofit and a per-transaction donation formula gives the promotion a community story that pure discounting cannot match. Operators planning their own openings or anniversary events can replicate the model at any scale by tying wash volume directly to a donation total, which turns customer participation into measurable community impact.
