Tidal Wave Auto Spa has opened a new express car wash in Bonita Springs, Florida, the company's first site in that city and its 32nd across the state. The location adds to the footprint of what the company describes as the fifth-largest conveyor car wash operator in the country.

According to reporting from Auto Laundry News, the chain tied its debut to a grand-opening promotion and a local charitable partnership, a pairing it has used to enter new markets.

Grand opening promotion

To mark the opening, Tidal Wave offered 12 days of free washes beginning September 16. The giveaway featured the company's premium package, branded Graph-X4 plus Super Shammy, letting new customers sample the top wash tier at no charge. The strategy is a common customer-acquisition play for express operators entering a new market, using free washes to build trial and convert drivers into recurring members.

Community fundraiser

The company paired the opening with a giveback day on September 23. For that event, Tidal Wave donated $1 for every free wash and $5 for every new membership in its Clean Club unlimited program to the Bonita Springs Assistance Office. That organization provides emergency financial relief and social services to local residents, with a focus on families with young children and seniors dealing with crises such as job loss, housing loss, and illness.

CEO and founder Scott Blackstock said the company was "thrilled to open our first location in Bonita Springs." Tidal Wave says it has donated more than $8 million to charitable organizations nationwide, positioning community giving as part of its market-entry playbook.

Why it matters for operators

Tidal Wave's Bonita Springs launch shows how a large chain combines two proven tools when entering a new market: an extended free-wash window and a locally targeted charitable tie-in. Both serve business goals. The free-wash period drives trial of the premium package, and structuring the donation around new memberships gives customers a reason to sign up during the launch rather than wait.

For independent operators, the lesson is in the structure, not the scale. A giveback that pays out per membership aligns a charitable message directly with recurring-revenue growth, turning goodwill into a signup incentive. Choosing a local partner with a clear, relatable mission, in this case emergency aid for families and seniors, makes the effort feel genuine to the surrounding community rather than generic.

The opening also underscores the continued density of express washing in Florida. With 32 locations in the state, Tidal Wave is clustering sites in a competitive, fast-growing market. Operators in markets facing similar national-chain expansion should watch how these launches use free washes and membership drives, since those early promotions can pull a meaningful share of local subscribers before the competition responds.
