BlueWave Express Car Wash has opened a new location in Weslaco, Texas, bringing the operator's combined network with ClearWater Express Wash to 96 sites. The wash at 117 N Business FM 1015 opened Oct. 19, 2026, and marks the second BlueWave location serving Weslaco, according to reporting from Professional Carwashing & Detailing.
The opening strengthens the company's footprint in the Rio Grande Valley and adds to a run of recent growth across Texas. BlueWave and ClearWater operate as two brands under one company, a structure that lets the combined business build density while presenting a shared wash experience to customers.
A two-brand network under one membership
The central benefit of running both brands together is a shared unlimited wash membership. Members can wash at participating BlueWave and ClearWater locations across the network using a single plan. For drivers in Weslaco, the second BlueWave site means added convenience and more places to redeem that membership without changing providers.
Founded in 2007, BlueWave has grown through a focus on operational consistency, wash technology investment and community partnerships, the company said. Each new site is positioned as an express wash built for speed and repeat visits, with complimentary amenities including vacuums, towel exchange, high-pressure air and cleaning products.
Local launch and community engagement
The company tied the opening to local events, including a ribbon cutting with the Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center on Oct. 23 and a grand opening celebration on Oct. 24 featuring giveaways and community activities. BlueWave framed each location as a chance to add local jobs and deepen community ties alongside reliable car care.
The Weslaco site follows closely on ClearWater's 95th location in Leander, Texas, underscoring the pace at which the combined network is adding sites.
Why it matters for operators
BlueWave's approach offers a useful model for operators weighing multi-brand or multi-market growth. Running two brands as one company lets the business add locations and local density without forcing customers to pick between labels. The shared membership is the connective tissue: it converts network expansion directly into member value, because every new site increases the number of places an existing member can wash.
That matters because membership revenue has become the stability layer for express washes, and recurring members are more valuable when they can use a plan across a wider geography. Adding a second site in a single town like Weslaco also reflects a density strategy rather than a land grab. Clustering locations captures more trips from existing members, reduces drive time, and spreads marketing and brand awareness across a concentrated area.
The community rollout is worth noting too. Pairing openings with chamber of commerce events, giveaways and local hiring builds goodwill in the exact trade area the wash depends on for repeat visits. For independent operators, the takeaway is that growth is most durable when new capacity reinforces membership value and local relationships rather than simply adding a pin to the map.
